Hustle culture

What I dislike most about modern hustle culture are the (extremely counterproductive) conditions it places on self-love and care. “Once I’ve completed this, finished that, THEN I can take a breather,” when in reality, taking a breather is HOW you are ABLE to complete this, finish that, etc. Hustle culture is so singularly focused on crossing the finish line that it discards the person crossing it, who often ends up being a barely-breathing, half-alive version of you who was so obsessed with achieving everything outside of yourself that you destroyed everything inside of yourself. There’s no glory in any of that, it is as stupid as it is insane.
